Description

This simple pink salt trick recipe supports hydration, digestion, and natural electrolyte balance first thing in the morning. With just two ingredients, it’s an easy wellness habit that takes less than a minute to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale

Himalayan pink salt and lemon with water

  • 1 cup warm filtered water
  • ¼ to ½ teaspoon Himalayan pink salt (fine ground)
  • Optional: juice of ½ fresh lemon
  • Optional: pinch of cayenne pepper (for metabolism boost)

Instructions

Stirring pink salt into morning detox drink

  1. Warm the filtered water to room temperature or slightly warmer — do not boil.
  2. Add Himalayan pink salt and stir until completely dissolved.
  3. If desired, squeeze in lemon juice and a pinch of cayenne.
  4. Drink first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
  5. Wait 20–30 minutes before eating or drinking anything else.

Notes

Start with ¼ tsp salt if you’re new to this routine, and increase to ½ tsp as tolerated.

Lemon adds flavor and vitamin C, but is optional.

Always use real pink salt (not iodized table salt).

Do not overuse — once per day is sufficient for healthy adults.

Consult your healthcare provider if you have high blood pressure or are sodium-sensitive.
