Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp neutral cooking oil (like canola or avocado)
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp dry and toss with cornstarch.
  2. Whisk honey, soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, and chili flakes in a small bowl.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink and crisp.
  5. Add sauce, stir, and cook 2 minutes until thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve hot over rice, noodles, or in lettuce wraps.
