A soothing detox soup made with cabbage, turmeric, and ginger—perfect for weight loss, digestion, and inflammation relief.
Ingredients

- 1/2 head green cabbage, chopped
- 1 large carrot, diced
- 2 celery stalks, sliced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 4 cups homemade chicken broth
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in carrots and celery, cooking for 5 minutes.
- Add chopped cabbage, turmeric, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20–25 minutes.
- Turn off heat and stir in lemon juice.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Make it a Meal: This is a light soup. To make it a full meal (following the 3-3-3 rule), stir in shredded leftover turkey or cooked lentils for protein.
Storage: This soup freezes perfectly. Store in airtight containers for up to 3 months. Add the lemon juice fresh when reheating.
Vegan Option: Simply swap the chicken broth for vegetable stock.
