For the oat topping:
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
 - ¾ cup all-purpose flour (or oat flour for gluten-free)
 - ½ cup brown sugar
 - ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
 - ¼ tsp salt
 - ½ tsp ground cinnamon
 
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
 - In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, cranberries, lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss until evenly coated.
 - Transfer the fruit mixture to the prepared baking dish.
 - In a separate bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Cut in cold butter with a pastry cutter or your fingers until crumbly.
 - Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the fruit mixture.
 - Bake for 40–45 minutes, until the fruit is bubbling and the topping is golden brown.
